The Artificers are an organization of draenei engineers, also called artificers, tasked with building armor, weapons, and draenei settlements in alternate Draenor.

Warlords of Draenor
During the war in Draenor in 31 ADP, Exarch Hataaru worked with the Alliance adventurers to activate Elodor's defenses, in order to repel the Shadowmoon clan's invasion.[1][2] After the battle, Vindicator Maraad and the heroes met each member of the Council of Exarchs, trying to convince the exarchs to support the Alliance cause against the Iron Horde.[3] They notably helped Hataaru to disable a malfunctioning resonance crystal in the Elodor Dig, convincing him to listen to their plea.[4] When the council reunited, however, Hataaru was found dead at the Altar of Sha'tar.[5] It was later revealed that the culprit was Exarch Othaar, who betrayed his people and transformed into a man'ari eredar.[6]
At some point, Romuul eagerly joined the Alliance commander as a follower after they held off a pack of wolves attacking him, while he was repairing a defense crystal outside of Embaari Village.[7] After the defeat of Socrethar at Exarch's Rise, Apprentice Artificer Andren joined the Lunarfall garrison as a follower, and was later seen assisting the Alliance forces at the Gates of Tanaan in Talador.[8]
