Description

While you were mowing down hordes of undead, I was scouting more of the area with Lindie's device.

I saw what looked like a portal out near the bridge, along with the corpse of a warlock we thought was lost in the shipwreck.

Think you can go investigate the area and try to close that portal? We have enough problems on this island as it is.

While scouting the area, I saw an open portal near the bridge up the hill. That does not bode well for any of us.

It seemed like another warlock tried to seal the portal, but failed.

I know you dabble in such... affairs. Perhaps you could put your knowledge to good use and close that portal.

It details a ritual to bind a powerful voidwalker to your service. Clearly this warlock failed his attempt.

But you could succeed where he failed. Take the grimoire next to the corpse and finish the ritual to gain control of your own voidwalker!>

Using the grimoire

You channel into the portal, and a voice answers.

Voidwalker says: Who dares to summon me?

Small beacons of shadow magic begin to form a circle around you.

Voidwalker says: You... cannot... bind me...

As you finish casting the spell, the portal dissipates and a Summoned Voidwalker appears from it.

Summoned Voidwalker says: The bargain... is struck. I will... obey...

On completion

Summoned Voidwalker says: Call upon me, and I shall answer.

The voidwalker disappears.
