A Soft Glow of wisps sends players in the direction of Malfurion Stormrage on the border of Ashenvale and Darkshore.

Objectives

Find Malfurion in Ashenvale.

• Meet Malfurion at the entrance to Darkshore

Description

The wisps... they sing with sorrow, but also with purpose. The forest stirs, aglow with their light.

That sound... in the distance. Could it be our Shan'do?

Quickly, <Name>! Malfurion beckons!

Notes

Head west out of Astranaar then north along the road past Maestra's Post and Orendil's Retreat to find Malfurion Stormrage just on the other side of the border with Darkshore.

There, Malfurion has rooted Sylvanas Windrunner and a handful of Orgrimmar Grunts. Malfurion is casting [Wrath] on Sylvanas, and she is returning fire with Black Arrow, but neither are having much of an effect.

The wisp wall

Approach the scene and the grunts break free:

Malfurion Stormrage yells: You will come no further, Banshee Queen!

Malfurion runs for a short distance, then turns around and raises a wall of wisps. The grunts run to it...

Lady Sylvanas Windrunner yells: Soldiers... No! Do not rush the--!

...and are immediately killed.

Lady Sylvanas Windrunner yells: Fools... At least now we know how dangerous the wisps can be.

Malfurion Stormrage says: You may pass through the wall, <name>. The wisps will not harm you.

Lady Sylvanas Windrunner yells: There will be nowhere to run when next we meet, Malfurion!

Sylvanas mounts up and retreats down the road.
