Objectives

The Will of the Ashbringer is using the last of its power to create a connection to Alexandros Mograine inside of Naxxramas. Take the portal and confront the Spirit of Mograine.

Should you fall in battle, make your way back to the portal within Light's Hope Chapel to re-enter Naxxramas.

Description

I am using most of my waning strength to appear to you.

There is one fleeting hope. You may not be able to save the man, but you may still bring him some measure of peace by limiting the harm he can inflict. Mograine has returned to Naxxramas to recover and resurrect the horsemen. When that's done, his fury will be terrible.

It is wrong to ask this of you after all you've done... but please, confront the Spirit of Mograine. Do what you can to stop him, if only for now. I can help you reach him.

It is... done—for now. I can feel this form... beginning to fade. Thank you—<class>. The blade... remains corrupted but... perhaps... there is another who can...

<As the echo fades away, you can feel it channeling the last ounce of itself into the Ashbringer. The darkness remains, but there’s something else there now. Something that wasn’t there before...>

Notes

Upon teleporting inside Naxxramas, one finds oneself in the Four Horsemen chamber in the Military Quarter. The Spirit of Mograine stands at the center of the chamber, in his death knight form. The bodies of the Four Horsemen can be seen in the four corners of the chamber. Upon the start of combat:

Spirit of Mograine yells: Thank you for returning my blade to me, <class>!
The Will of the Ashbringer yells: The Light must prevail!

The Will of the Ashbringer can be seen near the center helping out by casting holy orbs that appear on the ground and that heal if walked on. Furthermore, Shades of Naxxramas appear in the four corners of the room. When defeated, the shades explode, removing Mograine's shield.

When the spirit drops to 70% health. The spirits of the other horsemen appear in the center, adding new mechanics to the fight:

Spirit of Mograine yells: I warned you not to return here! Now you will join me in service to the master!

At 30%, the Spirit of Mograine runs to the center of the room; the other horsemen start channeling some magic on him:

Spirit of Mograine yells: Life is meaningless. It is in death that we are truly tested.

The spirit of Scarlet Commander Mograine appears at the entrance and slowly walks towards his father. He needs to be protected from the shades of Naxxramas that appear behind him. Upon reaching the center, Scarlet Commander Mograine casts a holy spell and banishes the souls of the other horsemen:

Scarlet Commander Mograine yells: Begone!
Scarlet Commander Mograine yells: Forgive me, father! Please...
Scarlet Commander Mograine strikes down the Spirit of Mograine.
Spirit of Mograine yells: This changes... nothing... the cycle... continues.
